This is for New car sales department only. PROS: I spoke to Alicia and she's friendly, didn't know everything about the cars but that's OK. Long story short, I think they have a friendly sales team. Pricing was very competitive against the other new car dealers. I ended emailing back and forth with their internet department and got a great price on a new 14 Forester. CONS: Subaru has very thine paint, it will get scratch & swirl if you are not careful. So do not let Subaru wash ur car, they will put scratch mark & swirl on your new car. I didn't like their service department, they are not aggressive but the way they talk to me makes me fell uncomfortable. Conclusion: I don't think any dealer is going to have a perfect rating, I liked their new car sales team. I can live with the service department, BUT DO NOT let them WASH UR CAR. TO BE FAIR: I work in the car wash business, Japanese cars have thinner paint job vs European or American cars. From experience black color car show scratch & swirl more. And I work in auto detail shop, this can be fix by removing a thine layer of clear coat that's applied onto of the original paint.
Staff is friendly and service is usually done within a reasonable time. The waiting is area is neat and clean with coffee, tea, and cold water to drink. They also offer to clean the car for free. Which is a plus.
What can I say but THANK YOU Cheryl at Subaru of Ontario. This is my 3rd Subaru and each time Cheryl does an outstanding job. I have had 2008 Imperza, 2010 Outback (outstanding) then sad to say I went to a 2012 Cooper we will leave this alone(not the car the service). And very happy to say I am back with my new 2014 Crosstrek. Subaru is an outstanding automaker, but this review is for Cheryl outstanding, professional and makes car buy so stress free. Thank you Cheryl
This is a service dept. Review- I am a new Subaru owner looking for a place to call home for servicing. I made an appointment online for a Friday at 11am. I arrived at 10:50am and was greeted quickly and asked to come inside for a drink. I explained I am a new owner and I take pride in my car. I was assured by Kim the service writer that they strive for excellence. I was introduced to the mechanic working on my car and was allowed to observe the 7,500 mile service being done. Jerry the tech was amazing and handled my car with respect and care, as well double checking his work. At the end I was so taken back with customer service and pride in their work! And to top it off I was out of there by 11:45am! Couldn't of asked for a better experience for me or my STI- Future long time customer of Ontario Subaru...
Today (Saturday, 4/26/14): First complimentary maintenance visit (3 months/3,000 miles). Arrived around 7:45am for an 8:00am appointment. Greeted by Kim who checked me in and invited me to have some complimentary coffee. Used the free Wi-Fi to practice playing video poker. Out the door by 8:50am with a new oil filter and a change of motor oil. Absolutely no pressure to buy anything else, nor the dreaded "Can you step over here?" while the car was up on the lift to tell me the kaflortner valve on the hackenfleeper assembly needs to be replaced and I should be grateful they just happen to have one.
Sales department: Friendly, no pressure toward purchase, one month later i am ready for a new forester, had to wait like one week because they didn't had any 2.5i touring in stock. They have the best price toward new car. 5STARSDetail department: They had my car wash, but problem is the guys they hire to do the detailing, use dirty towels and put scratches all over the exterior paint, I see swirls everytime i get into my new car. 1STAR.I would give them 5 stars, but their detail guys are terrable!!!
