Sold them my Impreza today, which I bought from them 4 years ago.The manager and the staffs are nice, honest and professional.Good resale value of Subaru! One offer and it's a done deal !They know the car is well kept and maintained by themselves!5 minutes evaluation on the phone, bringing in the car,and I got my full-amount check within the next 15 minutes! And they even offered a free ride to send me back home!A very pleasant experience in dealing with them for the last 4 years!5-Star!
I called Ontario Subaru after having a very bad and aggressive encounter at another SoCal Subaru dealer. I spoke with Amber on the phone and was quickly quoted fair out the door prices (with no haggle) on an Impreza hatchback, with all the different options I was considering. After the test drive she arranged a dealer transfer to track down and find the exact model, color, and details I was looking for. It was completely a no-pressure purchase. Even with the service packages and the other items that are always offered with a car. She gave us the information and then left my husband and I to deliberate what worked best for us. I had the feeling throgh the whole buying process that she wanted to only sell us what was valuable in our eyes and not to try to upsell us.Absolutely the best car-buying experience I have ever had. I highly reccomend Subaru of Ontario as long as Amber is working there.
So I am not sure what the ultimate experience will be when I go in. But after having a terrible online sales experience at Irvine Subaru, my experience with Cheryl at Subaru of Ontario more than made up for it. Helpful, detailed and upfront I was quoted a decent price and she wasn't condescending. In dealing with rather aggressive personalities online who seem happy enough to detach the person at the other end of the screen from anything that is actually living or breathing it was nice to feel someone was taking their time, reading my emails thoroughly before answering and trying to earn my business. Figured if I was going to write about a bad experience I should definitely point out the good one.
I bought a 2014 Forester here recently and had a very good experience. I was quite impressed with how laid-back everyone was... I didn't have 5 sales guys swarming around me as soon as I pulled in (thank you!). I searched their inventory for the model I wanted, drove over, and everything was as advertised on their site - no surprises. The guy who sold me the car was Vince, and he is excellent! No pressure, very casual, and transparent about the whole process. To top it all off, the finance guy, Javier, was also just as excellent. Super easy paperwork process, and I appreciated his willingness to explain every single step and answer the questions I had politely and effectively. I would definitely come back here again!
i was in the market for a new Subaru Outback. I sent email inquiries to a few local Subaru dealers. Amber Arias at Subaru of Ontario was the only rep from any of the dealers who sent me an itemized list of all the costs involved, including a final price for the car I wanted. They also had my preferred color and the options I wanted. I noticed that a lot of the other dealers had their cars loaded up with options I didn't really need for Southern California weather, adding several hundred dollars to the price. Fwiw, I ended up getting a 2014 Outback Premium with only two options totaling less than $100. I called Amber on a Saturday morning and made plans to come in and check out the car. After seeing the car and going over the numbers, which were the same as I was quotes in the email, I agreed to buy the car. They ran a credit check and then I met with Javier in finance, who asked if I wanted the extended warranty. I didn't feel pressure at all, and when I politely declined, he told me the offer would still be good when I came back in two days to pick up the car. Very nice! Since I was buying the car with cash (thanks, dad and mom!), I arranged to come back two days later to bring in the cashier's check and to take my new car home. Amber was actually scheduled to have the day off that day, but she came in to meet with me and make sure everything went smoothly. I've bought three new cars in my life, and my experience at Subaru of Ontario was the best of all, thanks to Amber Arias. She knows how to work with customers efficiently and politely. I highly recommend this dealership for a hassle-free, quick, and friendly car buying experience. And I love the car!
Review is for oil change only. I would really like to give them 5 stars..good service, clean environment with complimentary hot tea. But the sales who did my paperwork, is not so great. Her name is Kim. I arrived on time today. I present a $24.95 oil change coupon to kim right away. I've waited 1.5 hours in a nice room until I'm bored and found my car was out already. I wasn't sure if it's ready, so I've wait another 30 mins-- and finally I found kim, she is talking to her co-worker. Right after she saw me she said " oh, your car is ready, I was just going to give you the paper work". And then I found the price for regular oil change is $46.95. I told her I had coupon and she told me to take to the receptionist. The receptionist is sweet and nice, and explain to me that the my car needs 2 extra quart of the oil. I understand that and I explain that the coupon should worth something, and usually Subaru dealer charge me a little less when I present the coupon.(some dealer doesn't even need a coupon they will just reduce). The receptionist told me that kim only gave me $1.6 discount, and she would call a manager for me. The manager is super nice as well, after he saw the coupon, he said he will honor the coupon and ask kim to charge me $24.95+2 quarts of oil and all other tax and fees. The bill came out to be $34.48. I know there are not much difference, only $12, but now a days $12 could buy you a $25 decent food from groupon or yelp. I end up spending the money I save on living social deal today--with 5 off 15, I got $30 meal for $10. Thanx to the manager and the receptionist. Overall I'm happy with the service. I think I will go back for more service, I will avoid kim though.
