We couldn't be happier! Amber Arias and Cheryl Sauer in the Internet department were fantastic!! I told my wife it was time for her to get a new car, it had been seven years since her last new car and the old one was getting tired. So she wanted the safest car she could find in our budget. Subaru came out on top and she decided on the Forester. Having been in the car business myself for many years as a broker, I new how to avoid all the games usually associated with buying a car. None of those tactics were used here. Simple, strait forward, and upfront pricing is what we got from the Internet sales department. We went to another dealer in the area prior to Subaru of Ontario and didn't have such a pleasant experience. Thank you for such a great experience.
I shopped several other Subaru stores on line for a Forester prior to buying at Subaru of Ontario; they had the best price. The sales department was great; no high pressure sales gimmicks. I have bought several new vehicle make and models in the past and hate the whole buying experience. I can truthfully say that Subaru of Ontario was pleasant to work with. My trade was taken at a good value and I was out of there in a sufficient amount of time (feeling trapped is another pet peeve when car buying). After my purchase I received a couple of follow up emails from the sales person, Vince to see how I was getting along with the car and if I had any questions. That was a year ago; my car has been serviced at the dealership twice (oil changes, regular maintenance) and I can't say enough good things about the Service Department! Unlike my prior models Service Department they have never tried to sell me on a service that was not needed. As a matter of fact, I took my car in for an oil change once prior to going on a road trip and Service told me that an oil change was not needed and to make an appointment for when I return. Subaru of Ontario has made me a loyal Subaru buyer! They really have earned this 5 star rating, thank you.
My husband and I went in last Tuesday. I called earlier in the day to ask if the used car I saw online was still available. Edwin said according to his computer, it was...but that he wanted to physically go out and check, to see it w his own eyes. He called me back 3 mins later to let me know it was still there. So I told him we'd be by that evening to test drive. He had no problem w that. We got there and he happened to be closing a deal, but he let us check out the car and he came to check on us a couple times until he finished w the other customer. I think we got a good deal; I was able to get him to lower the price by $500 because the dealer across the street had the same vehicle w less miles. Anyway, I was already pre-approved w my CU so, it was a pretty painless ex'p. Although when I asked if my husband's name would be on the registration, it was stated that he could not be, because he wasn't on the loan. They said after I received the reg from DMV, I could go in the DMV and change ....I didn't know any better, so I said ok. When I went in the next day to my CU to pick up the check, the rep told me that that wasn't true, she even called and told them what I wanted & to have the paperwork ready when I drop off the check to add my husband to the reg. When I went in they added him...but why couldn't he have just been added the night before I wondered. BTW...Chuck was the one who said my husband couldn't be added. Edwin was getting the car washed when I asked. All & all...Edwin was a good rep, I felt like I was dealing w someone I knew, rather than someone who was trying to make a deal. The car wash sucked though..and they didn't fill the gas tank up, which is something CARMAX did w my last car...but I guess they didn't want to waste gas on someone just buying a used car, but It was a 2013 Chevy Cruze, it was only $45 to fill up at Costco the next day. *Also wanted to add, that I find it funny that "Jeremy", is responding to a lot of positive posts..but hardly any of the negative ones. You should be trying to correct the wrongs...the positive reviewers are obviously happy-
I contacted Subaru of Ontario, as well as another dealer, after I decided I wanted a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. The other dealer didn't really address my questions, but Amber Arias of Subaru of Ontario did. I found I needed to order a car to get the options I wanted and thought I would not be able to get a low price, if I did. Amber put those fears to rest and quoted me the invoice price. The car was ready in about 6 weeks (ahead of schedule) and that was the price I paid. No haggling, whatsoever. I also got a discount on the extended service, so I'm a happy camper! Amber is the BEST, so give her a call if you're in the market for a Subaru! The only negative I have to say is not with the dealership, but the car itself. There is no beep with the backup camera, if you get too close. I think that should be a no-brainer. Come on, Subaru!!!
I bought my car from SoO At the end of March. I had been looking and looking for months at what model I had wanted. I had been in contact with Cheryl over that period of time and was always very happy with her customer service and her eagerness to help me and answer all of my questions. I had made up my mind and was ready to buy. I have a very hectic work schedule and Cheryl was not there at the 2 times I came down, but I was helped by Aaron. Keep in mind Aaron did everything he could for me to make me happy which is great, but I did have to end up settling because they sold the car I wanted an hour before I got there. Aaron did work out a great deal for me, and even tried to find the exact car I wanted at other dealerships. I am still very happy with my choice and am thankful that everything worked out and that they were able to help me with my new purchase. I will definately be bringing my XV Crosstrek here for service and all of my needs.
I am really happy with the quality of service you get there at Subaru of Ontario service department. My experience with them started off a bit shaky with the sales department and then continued on to the service department . Mr McBride turned that all around for me. Made me feel special and even went the extra mile to make sure my car was a peak performance.
