This review is for my internet car-buying experience (so far; note that I have not yet been to their physical location). I used their "contact us" form on the website to request a quote for a built-to-spec 2018 Crosstrek (I'd already test-driven the car and knew which options I wanted). Vince Sperling responded quickly with a competitive quote for the exact build I requested, no nonsense about "you should come in" or "we can't give out quotes online" or "how about this sorta similar vehicle we have on the lot" or "please call so we can work out the details". He followed up the email with a quick friendly call to make sure I had his quote and it was for what I wanted. I later got a slightly better quote, but Vince matched it. Eventually, based on his quote and the great experience I'd had interacting with Vince, I've decided to go through with the purchase with Vince and Subaru of Ontario over a similar quote from a different dealership. Note that I contacted 14 LA area Subaru dealerships for this purchase. Most of them were pretty bad - quite a few were awful. Getting quotes was like pulling teeth. So Vince's help here, getting me the quote I asked for, being responsive, not pressuring me into something I don't want, being honest and straight-forward -- as "customer service 101" as that sounds, it really is exceptional in this business. The car is expected to be delivered in October, and I'm anticipating the rest of this purchase will go smoothly, with the same no-nonsense no-hassle no-pressure experience I've had so far. I look forward to picking up my new Crosstrek. :)

Original Post: Just wasted 4 hours at Subaru of Ontario looking to buy a cross trek. Was told by sales person that I'm being unrealistic because I want a discount. Their offer on our 2008 Honda Accord which is in like new condition trade in was insulting. So they want to give us nothing on our trade in and also won't negotiate on the car we want to buy. This isn't the only Subaru dealer in town. I'm heading to another dealer. Update: 8/27/2017 Although they lost a sale last month with us because our daughter decided to buy a Mazda 3 instead and she got a much better deal on her trade-in, we decided to give Subaru of Ontario a second chance. Our sales rep this time was Rocky and he was really great. Rocky was very helpful and informative with the several test drives we took. We wanted to test drive the Forester model and the Outback model and wanted to try the 6 cylinder and the 4 cylinder versions. Rocky worked with us on both our trade-in and new 2018 Outback purchase. We drove off with our new Outback feeling satisfied that we got a very good deal. The sales rep makes the difference.

I was in the market for a 2018 Crosstrek and since the car is so new not many dealerships have them in stock. Subaru of Ontario has one I like in transit so I contact them about the car and Vince Sperling of their internet sales department responded quickly by email and gave me a no BS price that is better than other dealers I've contact for the same configuration. The car actually arrived 2 weeks ahead of its schedule as predicted by Vince and when I arrived the dealership to pick up the car Vince had it parked right in the front ready for me. We took care of the paperwork in about an hour or so and I was driving home a brand new Crosstrek. So if you're looking for a brand new Subaru definitely go check them out and be sure to look for Vince.

I wanted to write this while I remember - I don't like buying cars nor do I like negotiating a price. I used USAA's car shopping service and I picked Subaru of Ontario. Most of this review is about the great service that I received from the Internet Sales Associate named Brittany and an extremely helpful Asian gentleman whose name I'm ashamed I have forgotten but who was awesome as well. I didn't get a lot of sales pressure and they didn't try to force me into financing with them either. It was quick service, friendly, and most importantly for me, absent any hostile sales tactics. So I am VERY happy with my experience and would DEFINITELY recommend Brittany as a sales person should anyone be in the market for a Subaru. I also would commend the Asian gentleman (sorry about the lack of a name) who showed me all the tricks and fun facts about the car. Sincerely, Andrew Whitaker

I bought a used Forester from this dealer yesterday. I saw the vehicle on line, and was happy to find it still on the lot. While I was not crazy about the gent who took us for a test drive, I was very happy with Rocky the man who helped me close the deal. He did not make me feel bad when I haggled for the price I could pay and getting a great price for my trade. He was super helpful thru that process. Also he was very-very knowledgeable about my car and explained everything about every button and feature. I really recommend that you ask for Rocky to help you if you visit this dealership! Also here's a nod to Michael who was the finance guy that did the paperwork. Nice, capable and organized young man. P.S. I'm loving the Forester! This SUV is super clean, stable, quiet and oober fun to drive! Road trip!!!!
