Jerry Reese, Service Manager, at Subaru of Ontario, CA is the most professional, caring service manager I've ever encountered at a dealership, or in fact, any car servicing business. Jerry truly and deeply cares about each and every customer and doesn't treat them like numbers. By talking to him, it's clear to see that his goal is to make the Ontario dealership's Service Department the best that it can possibly be. A dealership is really only as good as their service department, so to have someone in charge of that department that takes such pride in their job is not only refreshing to see nowadays, but always appreciated. We purchased our 2013 Crosstrek from this dealership and have only been to this dealership once for service before my second Sept. 9th service appointment. I had been happy before and so returned. It must be noted that I appreciate that I can watch my car being worked on and that the service department and their employees are clean, methodical and careful. Most every place I've taken cars to get serviced over the years say they top up fluids and check tire pressure, but they never do. This dealership does ALL of those things and it means a lot to me that they keep their word. Upon my Sept. 9th appointment, I was seriously contemplating taking my business elsewhere over an incident I will not elaborate on because it doesn't bear dwelling on, but talking with Jerry made me change my mind completely. As long as Jerry is Service Manager, I will continue to come to Subaru of Ontario for all of my service appointments. He did everything he could to make me happy. And his efforts were genuine...truly genuine. Jerry made me feel comfortable to where I feel that I can come to him the next time I require assistance. He has an ability to listen to customers and make things happen. I conversed with him a great deal about the situation at hand and how I usually feel, being a young woman trying to get my car serviced. I usually am never respected or treated as though I know anything about cars. Jerry treated me with sincere respect and like an equal. He never once talked down to me or explained things as though I was naïve. He was very sympathetic to how I was being treated and wanted to do everything possible to make sure I felt appreciated as a Subaru customer. It was busy that day, but he made me feel like I was the only customer there because he put THAT much effort into making me happy. I will never forget Jerry's outstanding customer service. I hope that this dealership recognizes and rewards him for his awesome customer care skills. He's a wonderful asset to the Subaru team. Thank you again Jerry!!!
